Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is of the succulent family called Asphodelaceae

It is not only a wonderful houseplant, but it is more widely known for its use as nature’s first aid plant. The gel inside its leaves are used for soothing burns and cuts. The gel is also widely used in lotions, soaps and even yoghurts!

Care: Prefers warm conditions. Allow to dry out between watering

We don’t recommend simply cutting up some aloe vera and eating the gel, but rubbing it on your skin can help soothe burns and dry skin.

To consume, make sure to learn how to properly prepare it to remove some of the bitter, soapy taste (unless of course you enjoy that), and be sure to only consume in small quantities.
