German Chamomile

Chamomile is an annual plant from the same family as the daisy. Commonly used in tea and herbal medicines, it is known for its soothing properties.

Often used as an essential oil, Chamomile oil can be added to soaps, cosmetics, and balms. It is also said to reduce inflammation and can be used for treating acne and abscesses.

Care: Best grown in moist, well drained soil, in cool conditions and should be planted in part shade.

You might also be familiar with the dried flowers which are infused with hot water to make chamomile tea.

The tea contains apigenin, an antioxidant said to help promote sleepiness. Who doesn’t love a nice warm cup before bed!
