Dill

Dill is an annual herb from the same family as celery! As far back as ancient Egypt, traces of dill were found in the tomb of Pharaoh Amenhotep II - they must have known how good it tastes!

It is a staple in central and eastern Europe commonly used to flavour soups, fish, and even pickles.

Care: Best grown in moist, well drained soil in a sunny position. Protect from strong winds.

Due to its delicate soft leaf, it makes a perfect sprinkling herb.

Dill is perfect sprinkled into potato dishes, salads, eggs, or yogurt-based dips like tzatziki.

It also goes well in white sauces, giving a lovely colour - afterall, we eat with our eyes first!
