Mint

A herb that truly needs no introduction. Peppermint, or common mint is the most widely used variety. Due to the fast growing and hardy nature of mints, one well established plant can provide more than enough mint all year round!

The mint leaves can be harvested at any time. Simply snip them off when needed. The leaves will last if frozen in ice cube trays, or stored in the fridge, but we recommend using them fresh to get the most out of their flavour!

Care: Best grown in moist, well drained soil in an open, sunny position. Water well.

Mint is amazing when added to boiling water along with honey, lemon and optionally ginger. This beautifully aromatic tea is perfectly soothing if you have a sore throat, want to detox, or if you need warming up!

What goes better with a slab of Kiwi lamb than a fresh mint sauce?

….Other than red wine of course.
