Vietnamese Coriander

Also known as rau răm, this herb originated in areas such as Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand.

This herb looks quite different from common coriander, often mistaken as a weed, it has longer slender leaves of a darker green and red.  It is a perennial herb that will thrive in the heat of summer. It has a distinct spicy flavour.

Care: Likes a lot of light. Best grown in well drained soil. Be careful not to overwater. Keep indoors in cooler months.

In Vietnam, this type of coriander is often used to garnish soups, and add another layer of flavour to salads and stews!
